Whenever you talk about future games in the GTA series someone always mentions how great it would be to have an MMO based on the GTA world. That may never happen as Rockstar continue to develop console versions of the game, but there is an alternative planned for release in the third quarter of this year.
That game is called All Points Bulletin (APB) and is being developed by Realtime Worlds in Scotland and published by EA. Not only does it look “very GTA”, but David Jones, founder of Realtime Worlds, originally helped create the GTA series. This is also the studio that gave us Crackdown on the Xbox 360.
The video above is a six-minute preview of the game with commentary from David Jones, (apb gold)as well as senior members of the team developing the title. It shows how we can expect to take part in gun battles on an “epic scale”, as well as car chases, shootouts, and a major emphasis on customization.
