You think you know what MMO stands for? Well in the case of APB: All Points Bulletin, it apparently stands for “Mass Mayhem Online”, according to developer Realtime Worlds, which has just announced details of the beta testing program for the game. Gamers who want to sign up for the beta test and get themselves all mixed up in the vibrancy and violence of gangland San Paro should check out the Beta test website here.
Incorporating frantic third-person action (the best kind!) into a persistent online multiplayer world, APB will offer a whole new perspective on MMO gaming. Those who gain access to the beta will be able to experience the near-limitless customization and brutal urban combat APB has to offer. Meanwhile the rest of us will just have to content ourselves with gazing at these newly released screenshots. Here’s Dave Jones, Creative Director at Realtime Worlds, (apb gold)sharing his thoughts on the beta:
“We’re looking forward to welcoming thousands of new players to San Paro in the coming weeks. As APB enters this final stage of closed beta testing, we’re anticipating a huge surge of interest with gamers from all over the world applying to take part and provide invaluable feedback to the development team preparing us for launch.”
APB: All Points Bulletin is due out later this year on PS3 in both the US and Europe.
