A not quite surprising announcement was made yesterday by games developer Realtime Worlds. It was said that Realtime Worlds will regrettably have to shut down the MMORPG All Points Bulletin (APB). The decision was made just a day after the latest 1.4.2 patch update to All Points Bulletin.
APB - Reloaded Realtime Worlds have had gone into insolvency and can therefore no longer continue publishing the client game. Also, the number of active users remained way below the expectations. In a statement made on the game homepage, community officer Ben Bateman stated, "Today we are sad to announce that despite everyone's best efforts to keep the service running; APB is coming to a close. It's been a pleasure working on APB and with all its players. Together we were building an absolutely amazing game, and for that, we thank you."
As a token of gratitude and as a farewell to all All Points Bulletin (apb gold)players, a final goodbye party is being held online. The servers are up and running and players can use this opportunity to farewell their online community.
All Points Bulletin is (or was) a shooter client game where players take on the role of either reckless criminal or law-abiding policeman, participating in third person combat and dramatic shootouts. The game has been online for just over two months.
